Bits of our weekend Vol 1
I got the idea for this post from a friends blog that I keep up with and thought it would be a good addition to our blog. This blog is actually backwards so start at the bottom and then come back up. I uploaded the photos in the wrong order and decided I didn't want to start all over!!!! Enjoy!
Boo!!!! Here we are ;D Daddy finally found them.

Daddy looking for the kiddos in a fun game of hide and seek.

We finished off our weekend with an enjoyable family game of hide and seek! Can you guess where the 2 kiddos are hidding?
All hail princess Callye! While playing she found this spare crown and decided to put it on her head! It is just made of foam but she loves it!!!!!
Colton decided to push Callye and Hagan around in the stroller and they both decided to take full advantage of it.
While the other kiddos were sleeping (laying down and not sleeping in Callye's case) Colton and I decided to make some brownies. Being the oldest does have some advantages, as you get to refrain from having nap time and indulge in all the joys of the brownie batter instead......yummy!

Callye, Colton, and Hagan playing in Colton's room!
My lil' buddy Heston getting some tummy time in and playing with all of his toys.

My little mother hen, she couldn't wait for them to arrive! She immeadiatly pulled her blanket off her bed so that Heston could have it to play on!

We got to spend some time with our two favorite Henrichsmeyer boys on Sunday. Momma wanted to go shopping so she brought Hagan and Heston over for a play date! The four of them had a blast, not sure how well the Henrichsmeyer boys slept but the 2 Earnest kids were out like lights come bedtime!!!!!

Queen Allison and her court, Katie, Shay, and Valerie. We had our last parade as a group on Saturday in Sorento. They all start back to college this week. I hope they all have an amazing year. They were such wonderful young ladies to work with this summer. We were missing Jaclyn and MiRanda they were moving into school that day.

Kindergarten..........Already! It just doesn't seem possible!
I got him woke up and asked him if he wanted pancakes, eggs, or a banana for breakfast! I was all prepared to make him a good home-cooked meal for his BIG DAY! He responds with "Can I just have a Peanut Butter Granola Bar?" Well but of course if that's what you really want to have, then that is what you will get!
Ok, now this picture took MAJOR talent to snap. I was holding 2 large Walmart bags full of additional supplies that didn't fit into his backpack, as well as a box of gym shoes, holding Callye's hand, and snapping the picture all at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super Mom????? well maybe if you insist...........
This is when he decides he really doesn't want his picture taken anymore but at this point he still wants to make mom happy. He stops in front of the good ol' Mulberry Grove Elementary sign for a photo op. It was pretty important to me to get this particular picture as I attended good ol' MGES and loved (almost) every minute of it!
This was pretty neat, when I went to MGES the school colors were green and gold. A few years ago they changed them to orange and blue so that the entire school had the same color scheme. Therefor I wanted to get yet another picture!!!! At this point Colton said ok mom but ONLY 1!
These are the name "plates" that will go where they sit at each of their chairs. Colton's is in the bottom left corner. The teacher was not sure if we spelt his name on or en so she left it blank until she talked to me to get the proper spelling.
He found his chair and the teacher had a lil' goodie bag for each of the kids. Inside was all kinds of neat stuff, pencils, erasers, stickers, playdoh, fruit snacks, a magnet..............
Ryan H, Colton, and Courtney D. These 3 all went to FCC Preschool together and now they are all in the same class. They have already grown and changed so much in the last 2 years I can't imagine what they will look like and how much they will change by the end of the school year. Stay tuned as I will post pics of the 3 of them through out the school year and different functions!
The door to the classroom, Mrs. Arter is very crafty that is for sure. It has a monkey hanging from a coconut tree and each of the kids has their name on a coconut. The sign reads "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Look who's in our room!"
Here comes the bus.........................It has some very precious cargo on it!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's my big kindergartener, and his buddy Randy the Bus Driver! I still can't believe he is going to school this year........
Look at him he is headed right for his Momma to tell me all about his first day of school! I asked him what his favorite part of the whole day was. His response "Riding Randy's bus, I got to sit with 2 other people in the seat to make 3!" We shall see if he feels the same way about riding the bus in a few years...................
Stay tuned as next week my baby girl starts preschool and the crazy picture taking mom will once again come out in me and there will be lots of photos of her first day as well.......

We called Nanny and Pappy and told them we would be on our way over with Colton so that we could get on the road. I was up and down for several hours before waking your Dad up. We got to the hospital and we were only there about 30 mins when my water broke. It was a good thing that this happened at the hospital as they realized that some mecconium (sp?) came out with it and they took extra precautions when you were born. Your heart rate kept dropping and they had to push additional fluids so that you could stay "afloat" and it would not cause you as many problems. For awhile they thought they may have to do a C-Section to prevent any more major issues. I started to panic when they started discussing this. I had never had any kind of surgery and was not prepared for such a thing. Luckily things turn around and I was able to have you naturally. We were so excited that you had arrived. Your Dad and I had a very, very hard time deciding on what your name would be. You did not have a name until 2 weeks before you were born. It came down to Mallorie or Callye. We asked your big brother Colton to say both of them. He could say Callye very clear, Mallorie he had some trouble with. Therefore your Dad and I decided to go with Callye.
Your middle name is Marie after your Great Grandma Shirley. She passed away just 2 weeks after we told her that we would be expecting your arrival in about 7 months.
Everyone says that you look exactly like me, some have even said your a "cookie cutter" image of me. I do believe we look alot alike, but I feel that you look alot like your Auntie Em and your cousin Bethany when they were little. You are very petite for your age. You are starting to get a little bit taller finally. You suffered from "Auntie Em short leg syndrom!!!!"
You are very girly but at the same time you love to get down and dirty. I have a hard time dealing with you being girly, as I was never really that way growing up. You love to get dressed up and play with your baby dolls. You are really good at riding your bike and love to swing!!!!!
You will be attending FCCP this fall and you are so very happy to be able to finally go to Colton's school. I think you will do well there, you already know how to count to 20 and know your ABC's. You love to read books, however your favorite book is the Napping House. I have read it to you so many times that I have it memorized and don't even have to look at the book while reading you the story.
I Love you always and forever

Colton is 5
You have changed and grown up so much in the past 5 years. It's crazy to think that you will be starting Kindergarten in August. You are a very rowdy, yet caring and kind hearted boy! You love to play outside in the dirt and ride your bike. One of your favorite things to do is spend time at Nanny and Pappy's and wrestle and play Tai-long with Pappy. This comes from one of your favorite movies Kung-Fu Panda. You are doing well in Pre-school and I am glad that your daddy and I decided to send you to FCCP. It is such an amazing school and you always have lots of fun stuff to tell me about when I pick you up.
Your a good big brother to Callye for the most part. You two have your disagreements at times, but that's what siblings do! Or at least that's what Uncle Ryan, Uncle Derek, and I use to do when we were younger......lol.
You look alot like me with your big brown eyes and most people say your like a boy version of me. However, I see some of your daddy in you especially as you get older with some of the manuerisms that you to have in common. You love to spend time at the firehouse with daddy and that's what your room is being decorating in.
I can't wait to see what the next year brings for you as you continue to grow and thrive.
I love you, always and forever!

He is Home!!!
Pop got home late yesterday evening, he is settled in and so VERY, VERY, GLAD to be back home!!!! He got the chest tube out yesterday, and all of the Dr's said he was clear to come home. I went down and saw him after the board meeting and he was back in his comfy rocking chair! He is on oxygen along with some additional meds. He only has to have the oxygen for activity and while sleeping so that's a good thing. He said he was a little nervous about being at home, but that is to be expected after spending 4 weeks in the hospital. The home health nurse will be by bout 9:30 this morning to draw his blood to test his levels before he can have anymore cumodin. Someone will be staying with him at night for awhile until he feels more comfortable. If anyone would like to visit, I am sure he would enjoy it maybe just give him to the middle of next week before you stop by. Again, I just want to Thank everyone for all the prayers, thoughts, and kind words during this journey. He as well as all of us, feel blessed to have such loving an caring family and friends.

Not Me Monday!
I did NOT allow Callye to watch cartoons at 3:30 in the morning just so I could actually get some sleep. I would NEVER let her do that just because she is restless and can't sleep.
I would NEVER tell my childrent that they could go to Auntie Em's house and play just to get them to go to bed without any problems. Letting them think they can have their way just to make life easier on me, is NOT something I would ever do.
I did NOT forget that my babysitter was not going to be able to keep my kids today, therefore, I did NOT load them up and drive all the way to town and get Callye out of the car and up to the door before realizing that she was not there today. I would NEVER be so forgetful as to not know where I should be taking my children and who was actually going to be supervising them.
