Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!!

Here are some holiday photos for all of you to enjoy! 2010 has been a year of lots of ups and a few downs for the Earnest Family. As I look back over the past 12 months, I choose to reflect on the good things that happened during the year. Pop had surgery in January and the tumor was successfully removed and he didn't need chemo or radiation! Chad took a different position at work and now gets home earlier in the day. Our friends Mike and Shawna Sue brought a new baby into this world! (He is now very healthy and moving and crawling all over the place :) ) Colton started Kindergarten and loves every minute of it and is very well adjusted to attending all day everyday. Callye started Preschool and has made new friends and is learning all sorts of stuff. I gained a new Queen and friend to spend time with over the next year. We celebrated being in our new home for a year. My very BEST FRIEND in the WHOLE world moved closer to me! (Welcome to the neighborhood Wild Kingdom!!!!!!) and so much more.............but for now I will leave with a great BIG MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Family Photos

We recently had family photos taken, and they turned out great despite the windy day! We (rather I as Chad is not much for photos) decided we should have some family pics taken since we have not had any taken since Callye's first Christmas (I think we warded off official family photos because it was such a disaster when we did do them, at one point or another the kids were not cooperating.) They are older now and it worked out better until the very end when Colton didn't want Callye next to him and Callye just kept trying to drive him crazy by chasing him! We hope you enjoy the new pics!
This is one of my favorites, I love how it looks like a bunch of post-it notes all put together. This one one taken at Pop's in the pasture. (All the pics were taken at locations that have meaning for our family or of my memories as a child.)

It is so hard to believe that Colton will be 6, in just a few months!!! Our lives forever changed for the better when he was born and we became a family of 3. Colton is my adventerous one, he loves to be outside and he LOVES to run!!!! Alot of people tell me he looks like me, but I do some of Chad in him especially as he gets older they share alot of the same mannuerisms. Colton loves to play at Nanny and Pappy's and in this picture he is sitting on the steps that come down to the back patio.

My sweet and precious (most of the time) baby girl Callye will soon turn 4 and it just does not seem possible!!!!!! I remember almost having a panic attack when they told me I may have to have a c-section with her. Luckily everything worked out and that was not neccessary. She is just like me in so many ways. She is independant, sassy, and "is always right".....haha. Callye is def. Pop's sweetheart and runs straight for the cookies in the kitchen when we go to see him. This pic was taken out in Pop's pasture. I made lots of memories growing up and spending time here.

Sometimes you just have to let loose and have a little bit of fun and be crazy!!!!

This is by far my favorite picture that Chad and I had taken together. I realize he is not smiling but it is still my favorite.

Big Brother and Little Sister, they both fit these rolls pretty well. Colton is pretty protective of Callye the only person allowed to pick on her is him and vice versa. When we made our first venture to Walmart with Callye after she was born,he was standing in the back of the cart. A friend's mother came up and asked if she could look at Callye and I said sure, Colton said "NO she is my sister don't look at her and don't touch her, she is coming home with us!!!" Funny how things have changed in just 3 years, I think sometimes he would now like to give her away to the first person that see her at Walmart now......

Dance, like mother like daughter!

So it begins, when I was Callye's age I was taking dance and tumbling classes in Greenville. My classes were combined and I was taught by the amazing Barbara Sugg!!!!! If you know her then you know she was a great teacher and it has continued within the family. Her daughter Lori loves to dance as do Lori's girls Allison (my current fair Queen) and Bridget. I decided it was something that Callye would enjoy. So this summer her and I talked about it and if you know Callye then you know she LOVES to dance so it was not a difficult deicision to enroll her in dance class.
All ready to go to her first night of dance, she even hairs her up in the bun as requested by the dance studio. Isn't her hair adorable?????

This is by far my favorite photo of her during dance. It was actually taken after dance class, being that during dance class parents are not allowed in the room so that the girls can concentrate and not get distracted. I think that is a wonderful idea!!! After her class I asked her to show me her room and to show me some of the moves she learned. She ran straight for the mirror and made this pose.

Showing me some of her dance moves!

"Mommy we do this it is called the butterfly" Well we are 2 1/2 months into dance season and she loves it. She will be performing at the local nursing homes with her dance class in December until then.............

The boys of fall......the smaller version!

Getting the game plan all figured out before their very first game!
Here comes the runningback for the local Greenville Rams, will he make it to the end zone ????

WOOHOO!!!! TOUCHDOWN!!!!! By Colton Earnest (Way to go buddy)

Group picture with our 2 asst. coaches, huddle down to the ground and put your hands in. Let's get ready to play our final game of the season boys!!!!!!!

Our boys of fall heading out to the field!

Preparing for our next move during the final game.

Our last game got rained out and ended in a tye. We did manage to beat the other team every other game of the season. The boys learned alot, played well, and most of all had fun!!! Last time of the season for ALL IN..........GO RAMS!!!!!!!

CAN YOU TELL BY THE HUGE SMILE ON HIS FACE HOW MUCH HE LOVES TO PLAY FOOTBALL?????????

Colton played football this fall and loved every minute of it! He is quick and everyone commented on how he already has formed calf muscles! He started running when he was little and it is something he enjoys doing. Anytime we are outside he wants to race from tree to tree or just run period. He had 2 great coaches (one of them was his dad). Wonder where he got his love of football????????????

Dino Day

This is the final result after a few hours of chipping away to find all the dino fossils! We ended up one T-Rex arm short of being able to complete the puzzle er statute. I went back thru all of the rock and still didn't find it! The kids had fun and we were able to spend the day together doing something different all while learning something as well.
Callye with her safty goggles on preparing to chip away some more of the rock in hopes of finding more dinosaur fossils!

Colton was really into it, he LOVES dinosaurs and loves to read books about them as well. I may have a future paleontogist on my hands!!!!!!!

And so it begins.............

Callye the night before she started Preschool! It is so very hard for me to believe that my baby girl is growing up and starting school. She has been asking to go since last year when she realized Colton was going! She is one very independant and strong willed individual, I only hope that the teachers can handle her.....lol. Not sure where on earth she would have learned to so independant, strong willed and set in her ways?????????? I hope that you have an amazing year at school at that you make lots of new friends all while learning.
As you can see she started out in her room, but ended up in our room! She came to catch a few snuggles with Mommy after Daddy left for work.

The true breakfast of Champions!!! Granola Bars of course......... Colton and Callye call them Cereal bars and it is a standard staple in our house for breakfast!

My little princess all ready for school.

A side view to show off her backpack and to give another smile!!!

Colton telling Callye to be good in school, while Callye is telling him he is not the boss to mind his own business...........

Headed to the car to head off to start a new adventure.

Showing off her backpack, she loves butterflies and pink is one of her favorite colors. One thing she def. does not get from me, (Pink and Purple happen to be my 2 least favorite colors). Guess what her other favorite color is?????? Purple!

A quick pray for a good year, lots of fun, making new friends, and learning before getting in the car ;D

The sun was a little bright so the picture didn't turn out to great, but that's ok.

Heading into her future, one that I hope is filled with everything she could ever want. I know there will be times that life will seem unfair, and cruel but sometimes those are the moments that make us stronger!

Making new friends at school already, she just jumped right in and started playing with them.

Carson and Callye, I hope that they are the best of friends growing up and always look out for each other. Carson has an older sister that is Colton's age and they are in the same class in Kindergarten. They spent 2 years at FCCP as well and are pretty good buddies as well.

Wiped Out!

This picture was just to cute not to share! Callye and I were home the morning of Colton's first day of Kindergarten. She laid down on the livingroom floor to watch some cartoons, I looked overabout 5 minutes later and she was asleep! This was at 10:30 in the morning!!!! It is alot of work getting up and making sure that "Bubba" gets off to his first day of kindergarten. Some days you just have to throw yourself down and relax.......................

Bits of our weekend Vol 1

I got the idea for this post from a friends blog that I keep up with and thought it would be a good addition to our blog. This blog is actually backwards so start at the bottom and then come back up. I uploaded the photos in the wrong order and decided I didn't want to start all over!!!! Enjoy! Boo!!!! Here we are ;D Daddy finally found them.

Daddy looking for the kiddos in a fun game of hide and seek.

We finished off our weekend with an enjoyable family game of hide and seek! Can you guess where the 2 kiddos are hidding?

All hail princess Callye! While playing she found this spare crown and decided to put it on her head! It is just made of foam but she loves it!!!!!

Colton decided to push Callye and Hagan around in the stroller and they both decided to take full advantage of it.

While the other kiddos were sleeping (laying down and not sleeping in Callye's case) Colton and I decided to make some brownies. Being the oldest does have some advantages, as you get to refrain from having nap time and indulge in all the joys of the brownie batter instead......yummy!

Callye, Colton, and Hagan playing in Colton's room!

My lil' buddy Heston getting some tummy time in and playing with all of his toys.

My little mother hen, she couldn't wait for them to arrive! She immeadiatly pulled her blanket off her bed so that Heston could have it to play on!

We got to spend some time with our two favorite Henrichsmeyer boys on Sunday. Momma wanted to go shopping so she brought Hagan and Heston over for a play date! The four of them had a blast, not sure how well the Henrichsmeyer boys slept but the 2 Earnest kids were out like lights come bedtime!!!!!

Queen Allison and her court, Katie, Shay, and Valerie. We had our last parade as a group on Saturday in Sorento. They all start back to college this week. I hope they all have an amazing year. They were such wonderful young ladies to work with this summer. We were missing Jaclyn and MiRanda they were moving into school that day.
